Ross Hotel (Killarney). The Ross Hotel is one of the few family-owned and managed hotels in Killarney. It offers a very comfortable atmosphere with 32 bedrooms. It was recently refurbished and is centrally situated in Killarney. It is renowned locally for its excellent food, comfortable bar and private car parking. Residents of the Ross Hotel may also use the leisure facilities of their sister hotel, the Killarney Park. Aberdeen Arms Hotel (Lahinch). A haven for the discerning traveler who will appreciate its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Mackensies Restaurant offers excellent cuisine. The Aberdeen Grill serves imaginative and tempting fair. Lahinch's "Golden Strand" and famous golf course are about five minutes from the hotel which is just 32 miles from Shannon Airport on the beautiful Clare coast. Connoisseur's Tip: Next to Lahinch. Old Ground Hotel (Ennis). This charming ivy clad hotel located in the town of Ennis is perfectly suited for the traveling golfer. Newly refurbished, it offers comfort, service and convenience. The fine championship courses are close by, as well as many sightseeing attractions. Connoisseur's Tip: Great in town location. Primary Area Courses: Lahinch, Doonbeg, Shannon.

Superior First Class

Royal Hotel (Killarney). Located in the center of the charming town of Killarney, the Royal Hotel is ideally suited as a base for those exploring the golf and sights of Southwest Ireland. Killarney Park Hotel (Killarney). The AA Hotel of the Year 1997/'98. This luxury 4-Star deluxe hotel is located in town, yet in it's own grounds. Sheen Falls Lodge (Kenmare). The lodge presides over a dramatic 300 acre estate above the Sheen Waterfalls and the Kenmare Bay. Superb dining is available in either La Cascade restaurant or Oscars bistro. Facilities on the estate include horseriding, tennis, clay shooting, salmon fishing, heli-pad; included within the lodge are a health and fitness center, swimming pool, library, billiard room and wine cellar. Adare Manor (Adare). Located just 20 miles from Shannon airport. Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Club, set on the banks of the River Maigue, boasts splendor in its luxuriously finished rooms. The Oak Room restaurant provides haute cuisine laced with Irish charm. Indoor facilities include a heated pool, fitness center, sauna and massage therapy. Glin Castle (Glin). Home for 800 years to the Fitzgerald family, Glin Castle stands proudly in the middle of its 500 acre wooded estate on the banks of the river Shannon. The toy-fortress like quality is echoed by its three sets of battlemented Gothic folly lodges, one of which is a tea and craft shop. The present Glin Castle which succeeds the medieval ruin in the village of Glin was built in the late 18th century with entertaining in mind. The entrance hall, with a screen of Corinthian pillars, has a superb neo-classical plaster ceiling and the enfilade of reception rooms are filled with a unique collection of Irish 18th century mahogany furniture. Family portraits and Irish pictures line the walls, and the library bookcase has a secret door leading to the hall and the very rare flying staircase. Dromoland Castle (Newmarket-on-Fergus). It is located just 8 miles from Shannon airport.
